The General Authority for Foreign Trade approves the formation of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Joint Business Council

The General Authority for Foreign Trade has approved the final formation of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Joint Business Council for its founding term (1447–1451 AH), naming Salman bin Hassan Al-Aqeel as chairman and president of the executive committee, with Tariq bin Fared Al-Othman and Tariq bin Ahmed Al-Qahtani as vice-chairmen. The volume of trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during the period 2020–2024 reached approximately 12 billion US dollars, with dairy products and plastics among the leading Saudi exports, and mineral fuels, oils, and antiques among the leading Kuwaiti imports. The Authority oversees 105 bilateral and regional joint business councils in total.
