The General Authority for Foreign Trade Holds a Virtual Workshop Entitled "E-Commerce within the Framework of the World Trade Organization and Free Trade Negotiations"

The General Authority for Foreign Trade, represented by the Agency of Agreements and International Organizations, held a virtual workshop on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, entitled "E-Commerce within the Framework of the World Trade Organization and Free Trade Negotiations," targeting members of the Saudi negotiating team and technical negotiating teams. The workshop covered the definition of e-commerce and its elements within the WTO, its role in free trade agreement negotiations, and the working methodology of the Saudi technical negotiating team for e-commerce. Participating entities included the Ministries of Energy, Economy and Planning, Commerce, Investment, Human Resources and Social Development, and Justice, alongside several authorities such as the General Authority for Foreign Trade, the General Authority for Transport, the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Export Development Authority, the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, and the Public Investment Fund.
