Al-Qasabi Chairs the Seventieth Meeting of the Committee for Commercial Cooperation of the Gulf Cooperation Council States

Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the General Authority for Foreign Trade Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi chaired, on Thursday via video conference, the 70th meeting of the GCC Committee for Commercial Cooperation, with GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi and GCC trade ministers participating. The meeting discussed free trade agreement negotiations, implementation of unified GCC commercial laws, a proposed virtual Gulf business incubator, the 2025 annual report of the Commercial Arbitration Center, and intra-GCC trade challenges. Trade between Saudi Arabia and GCC states was reported at about SAR 270 billion in 2025, up 125% over five years, with Saudi exports of about SAR 188 billion, up 163% over the same period.
