Passenger Experience Committee Holds a Meeting

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) convened the regular meeting of the Passenger Experience Committee for Persons with Disabilities and Reduced Mobility, bringing together more than 40 representatives from relevant entities. Hosted by Matarat Holding at its headquarters in Riyadh, the meeting forms part of GACA’s ongoing efforts to enhance Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector and provide a safer, more seamless and more comfortable travel experience for passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility across the Kingdom’s airports. The meeting strengthened coordination among aviation stakeholders, regulatory bodies and service providers, with discussions focusing on the adoption and development of leading international practices and standards. The agenda included a review of the Committee’s new structure, its previous work and achievements, and specialized presentations by newly established working groups. Participants also discussed GACA’s regulatory role, as well as current and future projects and initiatives designed to improve the passenger journey for these groups. The meeting concluded with discussions on next steps and the challenges aviation-sector organizations may face in delivering related projects and initiatives, supporting alignment with the objectives of the Saudi Aviation Program and Saudi Vision 2030. The meeting brought together representatives from 20 entities, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Digital Government Authority, the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, Matarat Holding, airport operators, King Salman International Airport Development Company, Executive Aviation, national carriers and ground-service providers.
