UN Selects Riyadh to Host the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2024

The United Nations selected Riyadh to host the 19th edition of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in 2024, an annual UN event bringing together global experts to discuss internet governance policies among governments, the private sector, and non-profit organizations. Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Bin Amer Alswaha affirmed the Kingdom's leading role in digital inclusion, while Digital Government Authority Governor Ahmed Bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan noted the selection reflects Saudi Arabia's role in maximizing digital infrastructure impact. The IGF brings together more than 160 countries and over 1,000 speakers across more than 300 sessions and workshops over five days.
