Saudi Arabia Ranks First in Electronic Government Services 2023

The Digital Government Authority reported that Saudi Arabia ranked first in the Government Electronic and Mobile Services Maturity Index (GEMS) for 2023, issued by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), maintaining its lead for the second consecutive time with an overall maturity score of 93%. The Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, said the result reflects government agencies' digital transformation efforts. Within the index's sub-indicators, Saudi Arabia scored 98% in Service Availability and Sophistication, 84% in Service Usage and Satisfaction, and 100% in Public Outreach.
