No action neededAwareness

Saudi Arabia ranked fourth globally, first regionally, and second among G20 countries in the digital services index of the UN E-Government Development Index (EGDI) 2024, rising 25 places overall. The country also achieved seventh place in the e-participation index, while Riyadh ranked third among 193 cities worldwide. Notable sub-index gains include a 67-place jump in the Online Service Index (fourth globally), a 53-place rise in the Telecommunications Infrastructure Index, and a 31-place advance in the Human Capital Index, with digital government regulation maturity and open government data accessibility each reaching 100%. The Digital Government Authority attributed these results to its partnerships with government agencies, adoption of emerging technologies, and the digital transformation programs of Saudi Vision 2030.
