On Wednesday, 27 September 2023, the Digital Government Authority, in cooperation with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, held an awareness symposium titled "Future of Free and Open-Source Software in Training," aiming to build a robust system for technology and digital services with the talents and communities needed to support and provide solutions in open-source software. The symposium reviewed the importance of the strategy for adopting free and open-source government software, conveyed the experiences of Technical and Vocational Training Corporation trainers in adopting such software, and discussed best practices for agencies and organizations to contribute to free and open-source software communities.
