The Capital Market Authority announced the compensation of more than 20,000 people harmed by violations committed on the shares of Al-Kothiri Holding and An'am International Holding, following an Appeal Committee for Securities Disputes decision published on 14 December 2023 that ordered violators to pay SAR 292.8 million in unlawful gains. Compensation was deposited into affected investors' accounts through a compensation fund established under a CMA board decision, per a distribution plan approved by the Committee for the Resolution of Securities Disputes under decision No. 6724/L/D1/2026 for the year 1448 AH; some investors received compensation exceeding SAR 6 million. Per Article 59 of the Capital Market Law, the Authority may regulate compensation procedures for affected persons and establish dedicated compensation funds from unlawfully collected gains; this is the fourth such fund established in under 12 months, following the first fund announced in July 2025.
