Capital Market Authority Announces the Start of Accepting Licensing Applications to Conduct Commodities and Metals Market Activities in the Kingdom

The Capital Market Authority announced the opening of licensing applications to conduct commodities and metals market activities in the Kingdom, for a period of 123 days from 16/01/1448 AH (corresponding to 01/07/2026) until 20/05/1448 AH (corresponding to 31/10/2026). The Authority intends to grant a single license for this activity during the current application period, focusing on trading in a secondary market for commodity and metals derivatives contracts. The announcement follows amendments to the Capital Market Law dated 19/1/1441 AH (corresponding to 18/9/2019), and the Authority's earlier announcement approving the Securities Exchanges and Depository Centers Regulation published on 19/12/1443 AH (corresponding to 18/07/2022).
