The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance announced decisions to impose penalties on a number of employers for violating the provisions of the Health Insurance System, specifically for failing to provide mandatory health coverage for their employees and eligible family members despite prior warnings. Under Article 14 of the Health Insurance System, non-compliant employers are required to pay outstanding premiums plus a financial penalty not exceeding the annual subscription value per individual, and may also be barred from recruiting labour on a temporary or permanent basis. The Council's spokesperson affirmed that these measures aim to protect the rights of health insurance beneficiaries and ensure full compliance with mandatory coverage obligations.
