Press Release – Employer Penalties for the Third Quarter of 2025

The Council of Health Insurance announced the issuance of 140 penalty decisions against employers during the third quarter of 2025 for violations of the health insurance system's provisions. Total fines from these decisions reached SAR 828,321.011, imposed after employers were warned to rectify their status. Under Article 14 of the system, non-compliant employers are required to pay outstanding premiums plus a financial penalty not exceeding the annual subscription value per individual, and may be barred from recruiting labour temporarily or permanently. The Council affirmed it will continue monitoring compliance and taking firm action against non-compliant establishments.
