"Municipalities and Housing" Launches "Smart Assistant" and "City Management Platform" at the Global Artificial Intelligence Summit.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing launched two AI-powered digital services at the Global Artificial Intelligence Summit in Riyadh (10–12 September 2024): the "Smart Assistant" and the "Madīnatī" City Management Platform. The Smart Assistant, available via the Balady app and the Ministry's website, uses generative AI to provide customers with real-time, around-the-clock responses to inquiries about the Ministry's services, regulations, and requirements without human intervention. The Madīnatī platform is designed as an integrated central system for managing urban environmental sanitation and cleanliness operations—covering waste sources, construction and demolition debris, transporter coordination, and designated landfills—using IoT technologies to monitor cleanliness operations and track vehicles along their routes.
