Minister of Municipalities and Housing Honors Municipalities Winning the Municipal Performance Excellence Award for 2025

The Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, honored the municipalities winning the Municipal Performance Excellence Award for 2025 at the ministry's annual ceremony, part of efforts to promote institutional excellence and improve municipal service quality. Hail Region Municipality won first place, Qassim Region Municipality won second place (also winning a Community Participation Excellence award), and the Eastern Province Municipality won third place, along with excellence awards for visual distortion treatment, Bahjah projects, and emergency and crisis management; Al-Baha Region Municipality won an award for supporting and empowering street vendors. The Ministry stated the award relies on an integrated evaluation system covering criteria including municipal service efficiency, infrastructure quality, oversight and compliance, financial sustainability, community participation, digital transformation, emergency and crisis management, and visual distortion treatment.
