The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing affirmed the importance of workers in food and public health activities obtaining health certificates, covering activities such as restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food shops, barber and women's salons, laundries, and body-care and relaxation centers. The certificate is issued electronically via the "Balady" platform and app after verifying the profession and license, requires a medical examination and, in applicable cities, a health education test; it is valid for one year from issuance and can be renewed up to 60 days before expiry.
