The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing launched the "Because It Is My Municipality" campaign to establish a culture of compliance with municipal regulations and requirements across Saudi cities, aiming to develop cities, improve facility and service efficiency, and enhance environmental sustainability. The campaign uses tools such as the "Balady" platform, which provides digital services to support compliance and simplify procedures. Ministry spokesperson Saif bin Salem Al-Suwailem said the campaign falls within Saudi Vision 2030 and targets groups including building permit applicants, project and property owners, engineering design and supervision offices, waste transport service providers, and contractors.
