"Municipalities and Housing" Achieves Digital Leadership by Reaching the "Innovation" Level in the Digital Transformation Index for 2024

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has reached the 'Innovation' level in the Digital Transformation Index for 2024, issued by the Digital Government Authority, with the achievement announced at the Digital Government Authority Forum held on the sidelines of the Internet Governance Forum. The ministry attributed this recognition to its ongoing digital transformation efforts, including the activation of smart municipalities resulting in more than 30 smart use cases across over 555 services used by more than 14 million users, an 87% increase in municipal adoption of key services, and efficiency improvements of 90% in commercial inspection activities and 87% in construction activities. The ministry also received an excellence certificate in the National Enterprise Architecture, and its deceased-affairs service (Ikram Al-Mawta) was recognized as one of the best government services for easing burial procedures on bereaved families.
