The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has issued updated technical and regulatory requirements for vehicle rental offices and vehicle accommodation centres, covering land, marine, and air transport rental sites. The updated requirements address location controls, architectural design standards, façade requirements, parking spaces, general safety, cleanliness, maintenance, accessibility for persons with disabilities, and compliance with the Saudi Building Code and Fire Protection Code. They also regulate ancillary activities, electronic payment provision, surveillance camera installation, and interior signage. The updated requirements list is published on the Ministry's website and accessible through the Balady — Municipal Licensing Platform.
