Saudi Accreditation participates in the first meeting of the Islamic Forum for Halal Accreditation Bodies
The Saudi Accreditation Center participated in the first General Assembly meeting of the Islamic Halal Accreditation Forum (IFHAB), an affiliate of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), headquartered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The meeting was held on Wednesday, November 1st, in Makkah. The CEO Dr. Adel Alkeaid emphasized the importance of the forum, which will contribute to establishing a comprehensive framework for mutual recognition among national accreditation bodies in OIC member states in the field of halal. This will enhance the reliability of halal certificates and their compliance with Sharia and technical standards, facilitating trade among member states and supporting the global halal industry. Dr. Adel Alkeaid also commended the Kingdom for hosting the headquarters of the Islamic Halal Accreditation Forum, which reflects the Kingdom's pivotal role in supporting cooperation among Islamic countries.
