Saudi accreditation receives international recognition from the International Accreditation Forum and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation
The Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) has achieved a national milestone by obtaining international recognition from the Arab Accreditation Cooperation (ARAC) through the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) in the field of management systems, according to the international standard ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015, and international recognition from the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) in the field of medical laboratories, according to the international standard ISO 15189:2022. This constitutes international recognition for all conformity certificates issued by bodies accredited by SAAC, which will contribute significantly to the economic impact by boosting intra-regional trade and facilitating the flow of goods to and from global markets. It is worth noting that this international recognition of SAAC is a significant achievement that supports the quality infrastructure in the Kingdom and strengthens SAAC's position regionally and internationally.
