Saudi Accreditation holds "Inspection Meeting" in Riyadh
The Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) held its "Inspection Meeting" in Riyadh on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. SAAC met with conformity assessment bodies operating in the inspection field to enhance communication with accredited and accreditation-seeking bodies, expand the network of accredited entities, and highlight the challenges they may face during the accreditation process. The meeting began with a review of SAAC's services and the achievements of its Inspection Department. This was followed by three dialogue sessions: the first, titled "Challenges During the Accreditation Journey and Improvement Proposals"; the second, "Challenges in the Field"; and the third, a discussion of relevant technical regulations. Representatives from various government and private sectors attended the meeting. This meeting is part of a series of periodic meetings organized by SAAC across the Kingdom. These meetings are part of SAAC's efforts to improve the services provided by conformity assessment bodies operating in the inspection field, raise the quality and efficiency of services and products, and ultimately protect consumer health and safety, the environment, and support the national economy and its prosperity.
