The Saudi Accreditation Center celebrates the International Day for Accreditation
The Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) celebrated World Accreditation Day, which falls on June 9 of each year, by organizing a forum under the theme "Accreditation: Supporting the Future of Global Trade." The event was held in the presence of His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Kasabi, along with several officials, experts, and stakeholders in the fields of accreditation and quality, with active participation from government and private entities. The forum activities were initiated by the CEO Dr. Adel Alkeaid with a speech in which he highlighted the importance of accreditation and its role in promoting international trade by raising product quality and establishing reliable local and global supply chains. During the forum, two panel sessions were held: the first titled "The Quality of Saudi Industry... Ensuring Access to Global Markets" and the second titled "The Role of Quality in Supporting Global Supply Chains," featuring speakers from government agencies and private companies. SAAC is keen to celebrate World Accreditation Day in conjunction with the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), as well as international accreditation bodies worldwide. This commitment stems from its strategic objectives aimed at positioning Saudi Arabia's accreditation system among the top ten countries globally by 2030.
